It’s a good idea to periodically check your online profiles to ensure that they’re accurate and consistent. As we end the first quarter, take a few moments to compare your LinkedIn, Twitter, About.me, and any other digital profiles a potential employer will check.
It is generally easier to print your LinkedIn profile and check it offline because of its length. To do so:
- Click Profile at the top of your homepage.
- Go to View Profile, hover over the down arrow.
- Select Export to PDF.
- The PDF file will be downloaded and saved to your default download location.
By the way, if you want to print other people’s profiles, you can do so by going to their page, hovering over the arrow by the blue box (it could say Send a Message or Send InMail,) and selecting Export to PDF.
Regularly checking your profiles is also a good way to remind yourself of your goals and accomplishments.
